Like windows 8.1 itself you notice that Microsoft have decided to invent a new GUI interface. I remember Windows 3.1 and how impressed I was by GUI.
However the idea there was to make things easier so that the user did not have to learn complicated dos prompt commands.
Now it seems that the idea is that to do anything serious on the computer, for example moving files around , searching for information etc / you need to know an awful lot more / and intuitive it isn’t.
Maybe new users to computers are dumber than they used to be – but I don’t think I am dumber – and to be treated like I am just makes me (and reading the comments on the user forums I see I am not the only one) mad and is incredibly frustrating.
